Get Involved

Westminster and Paddington have a wide choice of volunteering opportunities that can be accessed via One Westminster http://www.onewestminster.org.uk

As part of the volunteering community PDT has a number of projects that involve local volunteers and you can access these through contacting

PDT Volunteering Projects include:

Community Champions – local people who are trained with PDT to help out friends and neighbours with health and social information and advice in Queen’s Park, Westbourne and Church Street. For more info visit: www.communitychampionsuk.org

Maternity Health Champions – local mothers who are trained to support parents and reduce isolation through the pre and post-natal period.

For more information contact

St Mary Magdalene Living Heritage Project – local, national and international volunteers recruitment for a varied range of opportunities in this major local regeneration project: 19th Century Church Conservation and Restoration; Heritage Research and Oral History Project; Front of house support for a range of exhibitions, talks, films and events. Contact

Community Events

There are a number of local festivals and events that need Stewards and Event Support volunteers across North and South Westminster – contact

Work Experience

We have a limited number of volunteer work placements – contact  for latest information.

PDT Volunteers can ‘earn’ Time Credits for time given to a project. The more vulnerable Paddington neighbourhoods are being transformed by people who want to get involved in the community. PDT provides access to a range of training opportunities for people who want to explore new skills.

We also have opportunities for the corporate sector to help fulfil CSR commitments through coming in to work with our clients. Previous companies have run sessions of teamwork, motivation, CV preparation; interview practice etc.
