PDT Employment team is seeking an individual with experience in evaluation to start work on evaluating our SWEET programme (see elsewhere on this website for project description). The work would be 14 hours a week at £7.83 per hour. Results from the work would lead into, and shape, a final evaluation report on this programme which seeks to help women from ethnic minorities, who are far away from the labour market, to progress though training and, where appropriate, into work.

The person appointed will have a basic understanding of Lottery funded projects and demonstrable experience in carrying out both quantitative and qualitative evaluations including leading focus groups; carrying out one to one interviews both face to face and on the phone; analysing resulting data and writing up results into reports. They should also be able to carry out interviews leading to publishable case studies about the work. In addition they should be able to contribute to quarterly written reports to the funders. Ideally they would speak a community language, although this is not essential. Some experience in Employment projects would be an advantage.

The specific days for the work can be arranged with the person appointed although there would definitely be a need to be available on a good number of Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

If you would like to apply for this role, please send a brief CV and an email letter (two pages maximum) explaining why you would like this work, and why you are a suitably experienced candidate for this task, to [email protected]

Your email application needs to arrive by 21st May and the work would start at the beginning of June.
