Equip Community Grants
We regret to have to announce the postponement of our third round of EQUIP.
As you know, the global pandemic of Convid-19 has forced a lot of activities to adapt, slow down or completely stop. We at PDT have discussed the possibility of facilitating the grant process remotely however there are a number of factors that prevent us from doing so at the moment. We do not feel able to go forward with Round Three until we have more information from the funders (ESFA/EU) about their strategies for this programme in the future given current disruptions.
We will reassess and let you know when Round 3 will open in the coming months. We will email everyone who as expressed an interest and update this page as soon as we are able.
We hope you understand.
Funded by the ESFA and ESF 2014-2020 programme.
New grants are available for small organisations that offer employment and skills programmes. The awards have been funded by the ESFA under the Community Grants Scheme.
In Central and West London the allocation of grants is managed by Paddington Development Trust (PDT). The money is for organisations that help unemployed people, be they on JSA or economically inactive, to get into, or to move towards, employment. This may be through good advice and guidance; outreach work; improving basic and digital skills; removing barriers; supporting work placements; improving confidence and motivation or helping people access skills training and jobs brokerage.
The grant programme in West and Central London is called EQUIP since its goal is to equip third sector, not-for-profit, organisations (any size) or smaller organisations (those with under 49 FTE staff) which often struggle to find funds to build capacity and through them to equip local disadvantaged people with new skills and job opportunities.
