ITQ Level 2 for IT users (7574-02)

At Level 2 the user can make use of predefined or or commonly used IT tools for activities that are straightforward or routine, identifying and using automated methods or alternative ways of working to improve productivity. Any aspect that is unfamiliar will require support and advise from other people.

Entry requirements
This is a Free course subject to eligibility. The City and Guilds have not set additional entry requirements for this qualification.

Duration and Delivery
The course will be delivered over 24 weeks with a combination of class-room and on-line teaching and support sessions. To achieve the certificate you must gain a minimum of 16 credits.

What is involved in studying this course?
An activity will typically be ‘non-routine or unfamiliar’ because:

  • The task or context is likely to require some preparation, clarification or research (to separate the compo ents and to identify what factors need to be considered, for example, time available, audience neeeds, accessibility of source, tpes of content, message and meaning) before an approach can be planned; and
  • The techniques required will involve a number of steps and at times be non-routine or unfamiliar.
