Volunteer with Paddington Development Trust (PDT)

You will be supporting your community, meeting people whilst learning new skills. Making Paddington and Westminster greener, healthier, and more connected is what we can do together. The Paddington Development Trust (PDT) offers volunteers the opportunity to become involved in the local community. Bring your skills and experience to the table, learn something new, and make a positive impact on the lives of people in the area.

It is not necessary to have a lot of experience or a specific qualification to apply. You can spend a few hours or a few days, your time can really make a difference. Have spare time, want to meet new people, want to build your confidence and skills, or just want to have fun!

There are many ways to get involved

Community Champions are local people who volunteer their time to connect local communities and residents with local services and help them to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.

Maternity Champions are local volunteers trained in National Childbirth Trust courses, such as birth and beyond and breast feeding peer support. They offer information and informal support to parents, while also organising engaging activities for you and your baby.

Climate Champions are a group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers whose aim is to improve the area for themselves , and for the environment. They run different projects, relating to themes like healthy homes, biodiversity, and active travel.

Grand Junction volunteers play a vital role in helping us to present a dynamic programme of music, arts and performance for young people, families, and adults. For more information, or for an informal chat about volunteering at Grand Junction, please contact the Volunteer Manager by emailing volunteering@grandjunction.org.uk

Corporate Volunteering and Support

PDT welcomes  volunteer support from SMEs and corporate businesses across our portfolio of community services. Over the years we have worked with local companies and employees who have helped decorate our buildings, built small allotments, supported skills development with local unemployed people and sat on small grant funding panels.

Grand Junction @ St Mary Magdalene, an amazing 19th century gothic church venue producing community, arts and cultural programmes and a Café. We would be delighted to talk to local businesses about getting involved.
For more information please visit the Grand Junction website

When you volunteer with PDT, you’re not simply filling a role. You’re helping local people have a stronger
voice, build connections and shape the future of their communities.

If you are ready to get involved we would love to hear from you!
