Chapel Tour
The Chapel of St. Sepulchre, housed in the Undercroft of St. Mary Magdalene’s Church, is a fully realised piece of art. The chapel was built as a memorial to Fr. West, the founder and first vicar, who passed away in 1893. The massive volumes of carved stone, stained glass, gilding, and ornate paintwork transport us to the 15th century and are an early creation by architect Sir Ninian Comper. Come discover the history of this undiscovered treasure and its most recent restoration.
