The maternity champions project was set up in Queens Park W10 as a two-year pilot in 2014. Following a successful independent evaluation, the project is now in the process of expanding to be imbedded in the boroughs existing community champions projects in:

  • Queens Park
  • Westbourne
  • Harrow Road
  • Church St
  • Victoria (Abbey Centre)

Being pregnant and having a baby is an amazing experience that at times can be overwhelming and isolating. Maternity champions are local trained volunteers who can:

  • Introduce you to other pregnant/new mums living in your area
  • Guide you through this important time
  • Support you to keep you and your baby active and healthy
  • Help you understand and access services
  • Feedback your views
  • Help you get the best out of the support available

We are currently recruiting in the Westbourne and Victoria (Abbey centre) areas of north and south Westminster if you are interested in joining the team please contact [email protected]
