Grand Junction at St Mary Magdalene’s, Paddington
Grand Junction – re-opening following the Governments’s Covid-19 guidance
After nearly 6 months of being closed to visitors, Grand Junction is opening up for some classes and events – and we are very excited to be welcoming you back! Our first event will be on Saturday 19 September, when we are taking part in the annual London-wide Open House festival.
Our cafe, open since early August, now has some indoor seating, so you can stop by for a coffee on those colder days.
From 21 September, Community English (ESOL) and Mindfulness will begin back at Grand Junction, plus our after-school club, Junction Juniors, from after half term. All visits must be booked in advance, and we will be following government guidance on social distancing and hygiene measures. You will be asked to leave your name and contact details on arrival to support track and trace.
Plenty will be staying online, though. For those who would still like to take part from home we have two yoga classes, Community Art, and Knit & Stitch, in partnership with Westminster Adult Education Service. Our monthly family workshop Art Party is also staying as a live stream to Facebook, but keep a look out for us returning to the building with Art Party: The Show in November.
Whether in person or online the Grand Junction team can’t wait to welcome you back. please do visit our YouTube channel and subscribe to stay up to date. On our website What’s On pages, you’ll find all the details and how to sign up.
We are really pleased to announce that the Grand Junction Cafe has now reopened!
Grand Junction is a new venue for the community, arts and culture based at St Mary Magdalene Church in Paddington. Our mission is to create and present an eclectic, collaborative programme of music, arts and performance for young people, families and adults. We also have a café serving delicious food and drinks overlooking the canal.
We are fundraising for Grand Junction @ St Mary Magdalene! Your support will help us to fund our work with families, children and young people from the Westbourne and surrounding Wards, some of the most deprived in London. Your gift will also help us to maintain our magnificent grade 1 listed building to be enjoyed by future generations. See our work at Grand Junction and make a donation below no donation is too small!
